Anti-Privacy Law and Regulation

Governments uniquely threaten privacy by establishing laws and regulations that prevent individuals from remaining anonymous or pseudonymous.

This is often done in the name of crime control and prevention, or other important programs and policies. The threat to privacy created by such laws and regulations, however, should be part of the calculus used to weigh these programs and policies.
